This course is located is located off Los Feliz Blvd, near Griffith Park. According to their website this course was featured on the movie “Swingers”. It is a woodland course, with narrow tree lined holes. I used to play this course a lot, but now very rarely play here as I have discovered other courses.
This is a City of Los Angeles course, so the condition is sometimes not that great. The grass on the greens is often long and there are divots/ marks on the greens; which makes putting a challenge. If you play in the fall there are LOTS of leaves and it is sometimes hard to find your ball.
The course design is good. There is good variation in the holes however the longest hole is only 135 yards.  The pace of play can be slow. This is a popular course and at weekends and afternoons there can be long waits. There always seem to be a bottle-neck after hole 1. Once you have started hole 2 the play usually speeds up.

This course seems to be open 365 days a year (depending on weather). I have played here on Christmas Day and Thanksgiving before. If you need clubs, they rent them for a mere 25c per club.

Here is a video of Chris playing hole 3. You can get an idea of the woodland style of the course.

Richie says… “This is a decent course which is reasonably priced and always seems to be open. Remember to bring extra balls, as it is easy to loose them in the leaves and amongst the trees.”

Albino says… “Good laid back atmosphere.”

Chris says… Watch out for being paired, we have had a bad experience being paired with some people in the past.”

  1. This place is in MUCH better shape these days. Highly recommend a re-visit with new photos. Could be due to all the rain this year, but the course is in great shape. Greens especially. -CC

  2. Thanks for your comment. I moved to the East Coast over 3 years ago, so this website does not get updated. I just keep it active for people to use as a resource. If you would like to take pics and write content, I will be happy to post it on the site.
